Match photos and video from Kildare v Mayo 30th June 2018. The round 3 qualifier match was played in St Conleth’s in Newbridge. To be honest, I was a little weary going into this qualifier match. Not that we’d be beaten, I was fully confident we’d come away with the win. I was worried about picking up more injuries, further depleting our squad. The odds have been stacking up against us this year, more so than ever. I honestly never thought our season would end yesterday, but Kildare were well up for the challenge and end it they did.
So what now, where do we go from here? Those questions I cant answer just yet, but no doubt, we’ll be back again. On a positive note (if there is one) at least now the players will get a well deserved rest from inter county football. The Mayo supporters will too. And trying to put a positive spin on our defeat, just think of all the money saved! Roll on January and the FBD league. We Go Again! Read WJ’s match report here.
