Mayo v Galway FBD Semi Final 2020

The Mayo v Galway FBD Semi Final 2020 was played in MacHale Park on Sunday 12th January. 7064 payed in on the day according to the announcement, though it seem like 10 thousand were there on a bitterly cold day. It was great to see the great Tom Parsons back in full fitness! It was a lively enough match for the time of year. We led at half time Mayo 0-09 to Galway 0-08. In the second half we were 6 points up I think at one stage, but somehow we still managed to let them back into it. After about 15min of added time (due to serious injuries to 2 Galway players) Galway managed to draw the game 1-17 a piece. As is a regular accurance with Mayo and the FBD league it required penalties to decide the winner. Galway eventually won the penalty shootout, 3 goals to 2.
