Meath v Mayo 9th February 2020
Match photos and video highlights from Meath v Mayo 9th February 2020. The national football league match was played in Pairc Tailteann in Navan. It was doubtful if the match would go ahead due to “storm Ciara” but after a 8am pitch inspection deemed the pitch playable, we hit the road for Navan. I was a bit fearful heading up the N5, we badly needed a result otherwise we’d be facing relegation to div 2. We had the wind with us in the 1st half which sometimes felt like gale force 10! We played OK in the first half, holding Meath to just the 1 point with us having 7 up on the board going into half time. Just after the throw in for the 2nd half however, Meath turned that score on hits head. Rattling in 2 quick goals and a point or two to match, they’d suddenly pulled ahead of us by 2. A few more points were exchanged before Kev Mc came to our rescue yet again, scoring a cracker of a goal! Full time Meath 2-05 to Mayo 1-09.
