Mayo v Sligo Connacht Q-Final 6th April 2025

What a day for the start of the Connacht championship 2025! Even though it was the first week in April, it felt like the height of summer. The temperature in MacHale park was well over 20*c. Its been a while since we met Sligo in the Connacht championship so there was an added bit of an edge to this match. It was a close enough match throughout, Sligo held their own against us. However, we did just enough to get over the finish line. Mayo 2-20 to Sligo 2-17. Next up is Leitrim in the Connacht semi final on Easter Saturday in Carrick on Shannon.
