Swinford v Eastern Gaels East Mayo Junior Championship Rd3 23rd March 2025

Swinford met Eastern Gaels in round 3 of the East Mayo Junior Championship, where the match was moved to the COE in Bekan. It was a very blustery morning with a toe curling easterly icy wind. Swinford had a strong first half, dominating the play and led at half time. 0-06 to 0-03. They held Eastern Gaels for most of the second half, but only managed to score another 3 points with the bitterly cold wind at their backs. Eastern Gaels scored 5 points in the second half but our lads did enough to seal the win.
