This weekend is the seventh and final round of the national football league. Mayo face the long trek down to Páirc úi Caoímh in Cork this Sunday. There is a big gang heading down to Cork, for what is a must win game for Mayo, to gaurantee us division 1 status again in 2014. A loss will mean having to rely on results from Ballybofey and Omagh on Sunday to decide our fate!
I haven’t been active much on the blog as I’ve been pretty busy with Swinford Tidy Towns who are back in action again, now that the weather has somewhat improved. We have also done a lot of travelling for the other league match’s against Dublin and Down. I have loads of photos from both trips, and I’ll have them up here in the coming weeks.
We also had St Patrick’s Day in between, which by the way, swinford tidy towns won first prize for most original float. The railway bridge in Swinford was lit up green for the celebrations, and at a recent meeting of Swinford Camera Club, we did a photowalk and the photo below is one of the shots that I got on the night. I tried to get some light trails in the photo, but as you can see I need to work at my timing!
