The Minister for sport Michael Ring officially opened the new MUGA Playground in Swinford recently – Project 52 #38
The Minister for sport Michael Ring was in Swinford recently where he officially opened the new MUGA Playground facility. The new MUGA playground (Multi Use Games Area) is located on the site of the old tennis courts on Park Road. The new facility includes a new tarmacked tennis court and a combined basketball court and soccer pitch on all weather astro turf.

The weather unfortunately was terrible on the morning of the opening, but that did not deter the huge crowd that came. For most of the time I could hardly see, between my glass’s and viewfinder soaked with rain. As what always happens, as soon as the official proceedings were finished and photos taken, the rain stopped!
