Pride Of Place – Project 52 #32
Swinford community were entered by Mayo County Council into this years Pride of Place competition. The judging for Swinford for the competition took place on the Heritage Day at Síamsa Sráide. Having been on the Pride of Place committee which was set up for the competition, I was also tasked with taking the photos of the judging process. Out of the 200 or so photos that I took of the judges, this was one of the only posed shots that I could take. I only had about 20 seconds to set up and get this photo, I only had one shot at it! We were under very tight time constraints as the Judges only had two and a half hours in Swinford.

It has been an extreamly busy couple of weeks with the Pride of Place competition. We also recorded a video presentation about Swinford town which was shown at the start of the adjudication.
