All Ireland Final Replay Mayo v Dublin 1st October 2016
Match photos from the thrilling All Ireland Final Replay Mayo v Dublin 1st October 2016. A tough match and some controversial decisions. The Dublin media smear campaign against Lee Keegan also won out on the day with the referee bowing to the pressure from ex Dublin players. Mayo were beaten, (and Mayo players assaulted off the ball, many times) and it took the so called “unstoppable Juggernaut” 2 attempts to stop us from winning Sam. Dublin choked and bottled the first drawn game, having a lead of 5 points and then 3 points into injury time. They eventually just managed to beat us in the replay, with the help of the referee and a lot of cynical fouling both on and off the ball, by the narrowest of margins. Mayo lost on a scoreline of Mayo 1-14 to Dublin 1-15. View Willie Joe’s match report and discussion here.
