Two hours and 75 photos later, I got some shots of some salmon and trout jumping the weir at Curry.
Camera set on tripod, iso on auto for fastest shutter speed on burst mode f/5.6.
First one is a small trout.
This is a nice sized Salmon.

Where is this weir? When would be the best time to see some salmon run? Nice photos by the way 🙂
Hi John, thanks for the comments. I took these photos at the weir at Curry village, about 2 miles north of Charlestown. Not sure when would be the best time to see the Salmon run (I don’t fish myself) but according to a mate of mine (whose a very keen angler) the best time to view them here, is when there is a flood on after a dry spell, usually around November/early December. I will add a google map to the post.
