Christmas has officially begun here in Swinford – project 52 #40

The Christmas lights were officially switched on here in Swinford this evening. Santa took some time out from his busy schedule to perform the switching on of the Christmas lights.

Christmas carols were sung by the Swinford Church choir which was thoroughly enjoyed by the large crowd that had gathered, who had gathered to watch the switching on of the lights.

The recently formed Swinford Men’s Shed constructed the new Christmas crib located on main street. With the help of local groups and materials were supplied by Swinford Tidy Towns. This is the first time that the new crib has been lit up.
