Match photos from Mayo v Galway 13th May 2018. `The 2018 Connacht championship quarter final match between Mayo and Galway was played in MacHale Park Castlebar in front of 29,449 spectators. It felt like being back in a Connacht final between these two old rivals back in the ’90’s, such was the atmosphere! Galway were more prepared on the day had had the measure of Mayo. Unfortunately Diarmuid’s red card and Tom Parsons horrific injury dealt fatal blows to our chances of winning the match. Wishing Tom a speedy recovery and I hope to be shooting you on the pitch again soon. Mayo now have to go the long route yet again in the qualifiers. Mayo 0-12 to Galway 1-12.
