Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year 2017
Wishing everyone a very happy new year 2017. Thanks to everyone who checked out the blog here during the year. Its been the busiest year to date here since first opening the doors here over 4 years ago! I was delighted to make the longlist of the 2016 blog awards in July. This was as far as I got this year unfortunately, unlike the previous year where I managed to make the 2015 blog awards shortlist.
Once again (surprise surprise!) the year has been dominated by Mayo GAA. What a year its been again, following the green & red of Mayo! Its been a pretty exciting year and a very successful year with our U-21 footballers All Ireland Champions and our hurlers 2016 Nicky Rackard champions. Also a huge congratulations to the Mayo Masters winning the All Ireland after a replay against Cavan, after the first match being drawn after extra time.
I don’t manage to get to many of the under 21’s match’s, but I was delighted to get to the match’s I did this year. One of the best days of the year was to see that epic final against Cork down in Ennis last April. The future is bright with the underage footballing talent we have coming through here in Mayo!
